We’re turning Holy Redeemer Park into a track and inviting kids and families to come prepared to ride, ride, ride!
What is a Bike-a-Thon? A Bike-a-Thon is a family friendly fundraiser in which the children ride their bicycles around our track, completing as many laps as they can. The idea is to promote exercise while having fun.
How Can We Prepare? Make sure your child’s bike is ready and they have a helmet to wear. An adult is recommended to be on site supervising the ride for those 12 years of age and under. Additional fans are always welcome and adults are able to walk alongside their small children too! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy!
What is the Cost? Registration for the Bike-a-Thon is free will donation based. Children who raise $100 will be entered into raffle for a new bike. Prizes will also be raffled off for those who raise $50 and $25 in donations.
Who do the Proceeds Benefit? 100% of the proceeds benefit the Western Community Center YMCA in support of the Annual Campaign. Contributions to the Annual Campaign allow the YMCA to provide financial assistance and subsidize community programs and memberships to all age groups.
What should I bring to the event? Your bike, a helmet and your donations! The park will be closed to through traffic during the event. Parking will be available on the Ball Field just east of the park.
When is the Bike-a-Thon? July 28th 1:00-3:00pm. Check in begins at 12:30 under the pavilion.
